Desktop App

DiveToolbox is available as a native desktop application for macOS, Windows, and Linux. The desktop app provides the same features as the web version, running directly on your computer.

Download

You can download DiveToolbox from the app itself: click the download icon in the top navigation bar. The modal automatically detects your operating system and offers the appropriate installer.

Installation

macOS

  1. Open the downloaded .dmg file
  2. Drag DiveToolbox to the Applications folder
  3. Eject the disk image
  4. Open DiveToolbox from your Applications folder
tip

The app is signed and notarized by Apple, so it should open without any security warnings. If you see a Gatekeeper prompt, go to System Settings > Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway.

Windows

  1. Run the downloaded DiveToolbox-setup.exe installer
  2. Follow the installation wizard
  3. Launch DiveToolbox from the Start menu or desktop shortcut

Linux

AppImage:

  1. Download the .AppImage file
  2. Make it executable: chmod +x DiveToolbox.AppImage
  3. Run: ./DiveToolbox.AppImage

Debian/Ubuntu (.deb):

  1. Download the .deb file
  2. Install: sudo dpkg -i DiveToolbox.deb
  3. Launch DiveToolbox from your application menu

Features

The desktop app includes full access to all DiveToolbox tools:

  • Dive planner with decompression calculations (OC and CCR)
  • All gas calculators (MOD, EAD, END, Best Mix, SAC/RMV, Rock Bottom)
  • Gas blending calculator
  • Unit conversions
  • Saved dive plans and tank configurations
  • Export and print dive plans

Syncing

Your data syncs across all devices: web, mobile, and desktop. Save a dive plan on your phone and access it on your desktop, or vice versa. All you need is to be signed in with the same account.

New versions are published automatically. Check the download page for the latest version, or follow the DiveToolbox release announcements.
